further to request that His Grace will point out to the Governor the expediency of the regular transmission of the Quarterly Returns of Charges not covered by the Estimates, in order that references of the present nature may be avoided.
Their Lordships are not aware that these Returns for the two Quarters to 31 March and 30 June 1858 have been received, and They request that instructions may be given for their transmission.
In the meantime They will furnish the Commissioners of Audit, with your letter of 25th April 1857 and its enclosures, relating to the Estimates for 1857-8.
